We had loads of snow!

When we woke up on Monday morning there was loads of snow! Mummy and Daddy didn't know whether to send me to school - they rang the office really early and Mr King the caretaker said the school was lovely and warm and would be open! However, by 8am, it was really snowing hard and Daddy (who had already decided he couldn't go to work) said I would have to walk to school as it would be too dangerous to drive. I wasn't keen on the idea of walking (it would have taken us nearly an hour!) so after Mummy had some texts from Matthew's mum she decided I could have the day off (Matthew lives near us and his Mummy was going to keep him off school). The school finally decided it was closed about 9.30am, and Mummy got a text confirming this at 10.30!!.

We waited for Maddie to go to bed (which was about 8.45am) and we all got dressed up in our warmest clothes and went out. Luckily Mummy had just bought me a new hat and gloves ready for EuroDisney so I was able to put them to good use! We had a good play out the front and Eve from across the road came and joined us!
We then went in to warm up and had a hot chocolate and Maddie had her bottle. After that we all got dressed up again and went for a walk in the woods behind Nanny's house. (We left Maddie with Nanny Peggy as it was too cold for her!) Eve, her mum and Joe came with us, although Joe hated the snow and screamed everytime he was put on the floor so Lynn had to carry him the whole way!
After our walk we had some lunch and then Mummy walked to our little Tescos with Eve and I. It was great fun, although Eve and I are very competitive and argued who had the best snowball. biggest icicle, deepest snow etc! We came in and had a play and then Mummy came out in the garden with us and we build a snowman, which wasn't easy as the snow was very powdery and wouldn't roll! We had a snowball fight and then went in for our tea!

I was exhausted that night and fell asleep straight away - must have been all the fresh air!

I was really lucky as my school was shut again yesterday, although Daddy had to go to work which meant Mummy couldn't come out and play. Eve's Mummy took us out though whilst Joe played with Sam.
I love the snow, I wish it would snow more often!

Nanny Peggy's Birthday!

A couple of Mondays ago, it was my Nanny Peggy's birthday. I asked her how old she was, and she told me she was 21, which made me a bit puzzled because that meant she was younger than Daddy (who's 32!!!!!)
After school, Lisa and Marie came over with Charlie, Abbie and Ben. Michael, Kim and Alfie came as did Danny and we all had tea together. Auntie Rosie and Matthew, Stephen and Jonathan all called in and we all had a great time. Poor Mummy had to go to work, but Daddy did a great job of tidying up, bathing us and putting us all to bed. Nanny Peggy had a lovely time!

Helping Grandad!

We went to Nanny and Grandad's for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. We usually have our lunch about 3ish, and I am usually starving by then! Whilst Grandad is carving the meat I put my apron on and help him. He gives me bits of "special" meat to eat whilst I am helping, which makes it all the more fun!
